There are two main types of involute gear processing methods. One is the profiling method, which uses a forming milling cutter to mill out the tooth groove of the gear, which is "imitating the shape". The other is Fan Cheng Fa (Zhan Cheng Fa).
(1) Hobbing machine gear hobbing: can process helical gears with less than 8 modules
(2) Milling machine milling teeth: can process straight racks
(3) Slotting machine gear shaping: internal teeth can be processed
(4) Gear-cutting by cold beater: it can be processed without chips
(5) Gear shaper: can process large gears with 16 modules
(6) Precision cast gears: cheap pinion gears can be processed in large quantities
(7) Gear grinding machine: gears on precision mother machines can be processed
(8) Casting teeth of die-casting machine: most non-ferrous metal gears are processed
(9) Gear shaving machine: a metal cutting machine tool for gear finishing
